An old line that is still actively selling. Their positioning is rather strange: on the one hand, we have a design in the style of DJ headphones and an emphasis on rotating earcups, which DJs again appreciate. On the other hand, J88 has 2 modifications JBL J88i and JBL J88A, both are equipped with remote controls for controlling the player on an iPhone or Android smartphone. Now it’s strange to see this, but in 2013 it was ok. Since the announcement, the price for them has dropped significantly and now this is a rather interesting option for music lovers “on a budget”: you don’t need to overpay for Bluetooth or a microphone, and the sound quality here is more interesting than that of many modern JBL models. At least there is no such noticeable coloration and emphasis on the bass.

JBL has kept the sound fresh with a sound signature that has a more balanced tonality than you'd expect from training buds. This makes the sound more accessible to users. Unfortunately, there is no proper support for apps to improve sound quality.

The Tour Pro + TWS is a new line for JBL and the focus seems to be on quality. There are certainly design decisions to be made to balance aesthetics and technical intent, but either way, these headphones are among the best JBL has made to date. Featuring pleasant and efficient sound, the JBL My Headphones app offers much more customization options with a built-in equalizer. Fiddle around with it, create and save your own presets, and you're unlikely to be disappointed.

JBL has also made strides in call quality, delivering performance not available on the Live Pro+ TWS headphones. ANC performance is also better in this regard, suggesting the Tour line will be a cut above the Pro line in the future.
When it comes to comfort, the app offers a fit test to help you find the perfect seal for your ears. If you do it right, the headphones should feel durable yet lightweight. The built-in controls are nice in that they hear when you press correctly, except that the custom settings force you to use "groups" of controls rather than assigning them individually.
Battery life is acceptable at six hours on a single charge with ANC enabled. Turn it off and you can stretch it out to eight hours - all depending on the volume level, of course. The case, which also supports wireless charging, gives you three more full charges.
