What do the error codes on the display mean?

  4. The washing machine draws water before starting work and does not spin the drum after starting - no matter what program is installed, the display will show an error of 3rd or another. In this case, experts talk about a malfunction in the unit’s engine. Most often they talk about a winding break or a direct short circuit. A malfunction of the winding itself in an electric motor is eliminated by many unit owners by rewinding it at the point where the integrity of the motor is damaged.   6. Some owners of Samsung washing machines may encounter a situation in which the drum spins after drawing water, and then the display shows an error code 3e, like EA or 8e. This error can occur at any stage of startup and operation of the unit: at the stage of washing, rinsing and spinning clothes. Most often, experts call the cause of such a breakdown a break in the electrical circuit of the tachogenerator - this could be a damaged wire or a short circuit, as well as broken contacts. The solution to the problem is to restore the broken integrity of the wire itself, or completely replace the cable. The place of the broken contact is re-soldered, weak contacts are cleaned, and then tightened.
  7. Often the SMA turns off after the start of washing or rinsing, spinning, and error 3e appears on the display. In this case, the technicians talk about a malfunction in the control module itself. It is possible that elements of the system have simply shorted out or burned out - relays, resistance, diodes or a capacitor, which are responsible for the speed, rotation of the engine during operation, as well as communication with the tachogenerator. How to fix the breakdown in this case? Simply a burned out and failed element of the system, be it a relay or a diode, is replaced with a new one. If the system module itself fails, it is replaced with a new one and such work is carried out exclusively by a master who has certain skills and knowledge.

Even if you were unable to correct the error 3e, EA or 8e displayed on the display, do not despair. E1

At any stage of the wash, error E1 may appear on the display board, indicating a problem with water entering the drum. The problem occurs at the stage of collecting water before washing, during preparation for rinsing the laundry.

There are several unfavorable factors in the emergence of a problem situation:

  • lack of water;
  • access to water is blocked (they often forget about the closed tee tap);
  • clogged filters;
  • failure of the control system;
  • contacts and wiring are damaged.

The code will appear on the display of the washing machine when hot water is supplied (temperature above 55 degrees)

It is important to remember that only cold tap water should go into the machine drum

The inlet hose must only be connected to the cold water tap. Before turning on the equipment, you need to check what kind of water is being poured. If it is hot, then you need to wait until the cold one pours out. If this does not happen, be sure to use the help of a plumber.

This code indicates a problem with the water supply system. In some situations you will be able to cope on your own, in others you cannot do without the help of a specialist and replacement of some parts:

  • the value pops up if the control module breaks down.

Most often, a problem code occurs when the water temperature exceeds 70 degrees during the drying process of washed items.

If the device does not provide heating of water, then a system for supplying both cold and hot water from the water supply is equipped. Each hose has its own inlet valve. If you mix up the inlets, an error will occur. Such models of cars are extremely rare, so the problem is not widespread.

How to fix the problem

The error can be reset by simply “rebooting” the washing machine - after this you will find out whether the fault code will appear again. To do this you need:

  • Turn off the washing machine by pressing the corresponding button and unplugging the cord from the outlet;
  • Wait 5 minutes;
  • Plug in and start the washing machine again.

If after this the machine works and no longer issues the UC code, then the problem was a short-term voltage failure. If the code lights up on the display again, then you need to further look for the cause in order to eliminate the malfunction.

To eliminate the UC code that appears, you need to:

  • Check the electrical network and its voltage. For this purpose, it is better to contact an electrician;

Reasons for the error

This is fraught not only with the occurrence of errors during operation of the unit, but also with a short circuit. And this is a direct threat not only to the machine itself, but also to human life.
  • Intake valve malfunction. For example, after a burnout. A non-working valve will not be able to open and close correctly and the code E1/E7 will appear on the display at the start of the program.
  • Other problems with the pressure switch and electronic components of the washing machine. They arise due to manufacturing defects, short circuits, liquid getting into sensitive circuits, etc. In this case, the electronic module can produce all sorts of errors, not just E1 or E7.

Water inflow
